Hello Dr. Williams!!

All of the students in Life-skills were so suprised to see you on the screen Friday afternoon!! They were looking for you for the rest of the afternoon.LOL
We have really enjoyed looking at the pictures from the first two weeks in Japan.
Some of our questions centered around the diffrent foods there. Can you please share with us some of the foods that you have had during your visit? Food seems to be our motivation for everything!LOL
Enjoy this third week in Japan and have a safe trip home!!!
Sincerely,
The Mcgavock Elementary Life-skills Class

Thank you for your questions- I miss you guys!

I have tried a variety of Japanese food since I've been here. I've eaten a lot of rice, fish, yakitori (grilled chicken and vegetables), yakitori nikui? (grilled meat and vegetables), currie with noddles (school lunch), soba noodles (buckwheat noodles), sushi, and pickled everything!

I've also eaten American food including McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, and at the Hard Rock Cafe.

See you all soon- I can't wait to share all of my photos with you.

Hello Dr. Williams,

First of all, we miss you and will be excited when you return to McGavock. Our class has some questions about your trip to Japan:

1. Would you ever live in Japan?

I think it would be quite an experience. I think it would be very hard to learn the language and get used to the food, but I would consider it! Especially since some schools are very small (less than 50 students, and have a Principal and an Assistant Principal).

2. Have you met many Japanese friends?

I have made friends here. The Japanese people we've met have been very nice and my homestay family was great! I've also made friends with educators from many different states.

3. Have you learned any of the Japanese language while you have been there?

I have learned a few phrases and words since being here. The most important words I've learned are: ohayo gozaimasu (good morning), konnichiwa (good afternoon), konbanwa (good evening), domi arigato (thank you), and sumimasen (excuse me).

Hope you have a great day or night or whatever it is when you read this 

Sincerely,

Mr. Muckerman’s 2nd grade class

Thanks for your questions, I've responded right under the questions. See you soon!
